Forks of the Wabash Pioneer Festival
36th Annual Pioneer Festival

Although we had a rainy weekend, we wrapped up a great festival for 2011. There were several new items like the oxen strolling the grounds, story tellers; Johnny Appleseed, Barb Morrow as Gene Stratton Porter, Randy Bellamy doing "Stories of the Fur Trade", Phil Neese telling about the "history of candy making" and the "history of tea making", and Jim Snapp as our strolling magician. Entertainment included a Fiddle contest, the Roanoke Rounders, Friends & Strings, Jamie Olinger, HNHS Varsity Singers, new food vendors, returning food vendors and many more. We look forward to having another great and entertaining festival for the community in 2012.
